Every body is different, but they are similar in one way. Our bodies are always changing, for better or worse.
Of course, swimming burns calories. Being in the water burns more calories than being on land. The stronger the effort and/or the longer the workout, the more calories you will burn. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you're burning fat.
Some of you told us that swimming actually makes you gain fat because it increases your appetite and you consume more calories from highly processed foods. Some said that swimming makes you sleep better. Sleep quality is highly associated with weight changes. Remember how we talked about stress levels in our last Phelps video? High stress levels tell your body that you are in danger and if they stay high, some bodies responds by storing fat even at the cellular level
