It was a rude jolt for 18-year-old B Tech aspirant – Aditya Mittal – when he spotted a complete mismatch in his candidate response sheets (answer sheet) after the result of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) mains came out on August 7. He found that the key answer sheets that he downloaded from the website of JEE mains NTA (jeemain.nta.nic.in) differed on two different occasions.
“I was shocked to see the mismatch. How could it be possible? According to my August 3 answer sheet, I scored 212 marks out of 300. However, in the next day’s (August 4) answer sheet, I scored 153 marks out of 300. Which answer sheet should I believe in! ” Aditya wondered as he spoke to The New Indian.
Since it concerned his son’s future, Aditya’s father Vivek took up the issue seriously and approached the Delhi High Court on August 5. The Court of Justice Sanjeev Narula, called the NTA officials and sought their response on the issue.
